The Guardian Home Extension can be built with a flat roof with a variety of options including roof lantern(s), interior and exterior lighting. Exterior roofing materials include GRP fibreglass, EPDM rubber and other modern roofing systems. We can recommend the most suitable material to achieve the desired appearance, performance and durability for your home extension.
Pitched roof
The perfect pitched-roof partner for your extension is the tried and tested Guardian Warm Roof. Choose from our range of exterior and interior finishes. Control the amount of natural daylight with either our ‘Solstice’ skylights (as seen above) or for total climate control, genuine Velux windows.

At the heart of the Guardian Warm Wall is the Kingspan TEK® structural insulated panel (SIP) system, the advanced building technology commonly used to to build whole houses.
A highly insulated core is sandwiched between two layers of oriented strand board (OSB). These fit together with an enhanced jointing system that ensures an excellent thermal seal achieving a thermal performance U-value of 0.18 W/m2K once fully constructed with external and internal finishes. This comfortably exceeds the requirements of UK Building Regulations meaning your new living space can be heated more quickly and efficienly than most traditionally-built extensions.
